Meet The DamonSellsHomes Team Damon Nicholas, Listing Specialist & Executive Realtor
Damon grew up in the Fairfax/Annandale area of Northern Virginia and attended Woodson High School. While playing basketball there, he learned both how to be a team player and how to be energetic yet fair with his competitors. These two skills have carried over well to Damon's real estate career and have formed the foundation of his successful business philosophies. Damon graduated from the University of Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics, and thereafter successfully developed careers in producing and managing computer software projects for private enterprise as well as for the federal government. He has received almost every possible award for his outstanding contributions and achievement in these technical areas. Damon entered the real estate field initially in 1985 as a part-time buyer's agent, in order to share some of his wife Debbie's workload from her growing real estate business in residential and custom-built estate homes. Damon dedicated himself full-time to real estate in 1990, essentially allowing Debbie to spend more time raising their three young sons. Damon certainly found his niche in the real estate world, consistently receiving the highest honors from Coldwell Banker and the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR). In 1999, 2000, and 2001, Damon was honored as one of the Top Ten sales associates in the state of Virginia for Coldwell Banker. In 2002, he was honored as one of Virginia's Top Five with Coldwell Banker! With over $25 Million in 2003 residential real estate sales, Damon and his DamonSellsHomes team continue to be tops in their field. Damon enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as talking to and getting to know new people. For fun, he plays basketball and bridge, and he still gets a kick out of tinkering around with technology. Damon can attest to the quality of life, education and the multitude of opportunities available to families in Northern Virginia. Email Damon

Robin Wolters, Senior Realtor Associate
Robin was born in Virginia, schooled in Virginia and is enjoying life as she raises a family in Northern Virginia. She spent some time in Wyoming, where she explored careers as both an elementary education teacher and as a rehabilitation specialist with The American Cancer Society. She enjoyed the relationships she developed in those careers where she gained the skills of truly understanding, listening and tuning into the needs of others. After moving to Fairfax County in 1982, Robin went back to teaching as she and her husband Terry started their family, a son who is now a young man and a daughter who is in high school. Robin's first memory of home buying was a nightmare. Being young and new to the area, she and Terry needed an agent to make the home-buying process a rewarding experience, but that didn't happen. Through her own challenging experience, Robin learned that it is extremely important to buy real estate only with someone who creates a sense of comfort by being both extremely knowledgeable about the local market and an excellent communicator at every step along the way. Robin has a special place in her heart for relocating buyers…you can be sure she makes it her personal mission to give them a stellar start to their Northern Virginia experience! Just like Damon, Robin's ability to serve both incoming and outgoing relocating clients is certified by USAA and Cendant Mobility. Volunteering comes naturally to Robin. She's been involved with local youth sports as commissioner and coach, and she's given her talents to the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church and school, too. Robin's personal philosophy and goal with each customer is to make the change of home-ownership a fun and rewarding experience. Email Robin.
Barbara Blumer, Realtor Associate
Barbara is a native of Falls Church, Virginia and has always lived in the Northern Virginia area. Just like Damon and Robin, Barbara knows the area extremely well and feels comfortable negotiating our area's complicated maze of neighborhoods and byways with great confidence. Barbara has had a distinguished and extensive career in public relations, with one position as the executive administrative assistant to the Chairman of British Aerospace, Inc. Her responsibilities in that highly visible and extremely confidential position included comprehensive administrative support; constant interaction with the UK management team and their support staff; verbal and written response to internal and external inquiries; arrangement and coordination of executive meetings and extensive travel arrangements; and creation and implementation of a fluid calendar itinerary system for tracking movements and events from the present to two years into the future. This experience of establishing and nurturing relationships and business systems has prepared Barbara to excel as a top-notch Realtor, ready to serve you with excellence. She and her husband Jim have three children, one each in high school, middle and elementary school. They spend great quality time with one another by being involved in many local sports, including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, cheerleading and field hockey. Barbara says, "The list of available activities in Northern Virginia is virtually endless and the possibilities of enjoying a very fruitful life for you and your family are evident. It's a great environment to raise a family. Ask me, I know!" You can always count on Barbara to handle your real estate needs with the utmost professionalism. Email Barbara.

Relocation >Enhancing Your Home
A moderate climate can help your home sell, but wherever you live, you can enhance your home's hidden potential by bringing the outside into your home. Minor remodeling projects can be tailored to suit your taste and your budget.
Study the placement of your home on the property. A small window can be made larger to let more light into a room and expand the view. You can create an entertainment area for guests by installing a sliding glass door which opens onto your garden or adding a patio or deck. The addition of a skylight in a dark room can make a dramatic improvement.
You can also consider ways to enhance the outdoor features of your home and integrate them into the living space of your home. Such improvements can often greatly increase the value of your property.
